Story of Antman And The Wasp Quantumania
Janet van Dyne meets an exiled traveler named Kang during her days of imprisonment in the Quantum Realm. After the Avengers defeated Thanos,[a] in the current day, Scott Lang is a successful memoirist who lives happily with his partner, Hope van Dyne. Cassie, Scott’s now-teenaged daughter, has become a political activist in aid of those displaced by the Blip, resulting in a tense relationship with her father.
Cassie discloses that she has been developing a device that can make contact with the Quantum Realm while visiting Hope’s parents, Hank Pym and Janet. Janet panics and turns off the gadget, but the message is received, resulting in a portal opening and dragging the five of them into the Quantum Realm. Scott and Cassie are discovered by natives who are rebelling against their king, while Hope, Janet, and Pym search for answers in a large city.
Hope, Janet, and Pym meet with Lord Krylar, a longtime Janet ally who reveals that things have changed since she left[b] and that he now works for Kang, the Quantum Realm’s new ruler. The three must leave and seize Krylar’s ship. Meanwhile, rebel leader Jentorra informs the Langs that Janet’s association with Kang is indirectly responsible for his rise to power. Kang’s men soon attack the rebels, commanded by M.O.D.O.K., who is revealed to be Darren Cross, having survived his apparent death at the hands of Scott.[c]
Janet tells Hope and Pym on Krylar’s ship why she wants nothing to do with the Quantum Realm again; Kang claims that he and Janet can both escape the Quantum Realm if she helps him rebuild his multiversal power core. Janet got a vision of Kang invading and destroying entire timelines once they restored it. Kang confessed that his variants exiled him out of fear, which caused Janet to turn against him. Janet outmatched and used her Pym Particles to inflate the power core beyond its value. Kang eventually controlled the Quantum Realm after regaining his powers.
The Langs are transported to Kang, who maintains that Scott assists in recovering his power core or he would kill Cassie. Scott goes back to the core and shrinks down. He is nearly drowning in a sea of variations of himself when Hope appears and assists him in obtaining the power core. Kang, on the other hand, breaks the agreement by kidnapping Janet and destroying her ship, which was carrying Hank.
