Following Latto’s reference of Coi Leray on the Billboard chart-topping hit song “Put It On Da Floor,” the latter has been charged with dissing her on an unreleased song.
The New Jersey star’s dispute with Latto began in April when the Clay County rapper gave a Coachella sneak peek of her as-yet-unreleased pop-trap hit, “Put It On Da Floor.”
During the second stanza, Latto rapped, “Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray/ Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade.” Coi Leray became incensed by the implicit body-shaming in the lyrics, which caused her to go into a Twitter frenzy.
Coi Leray then uploaded a video of herself dancing to the new boisterous “rage” style song over the weekend, with the lyrics, “Yeah, I’m on they ass / Hop up on that couch and roll a Latto out the bag / I don’t need a stylist, they don’t fuck with Coi Leray / Tried to count me out, but now I’m big as Trippie Redd.”
In addition to addressing accusations of her use of her ex-boyfriend Trippie Redd for influence in 2018—a year when he was noticeably more well-known than her—Leray refers to Latto as a blunt in the song’s lyrics.
