The Denzel Washington and Rami Malek police thriller “The Little Things” has a release date of January 29, 2021, according to Warner Bros.
The film, which John Lee Hancock is directing from his own screenplay, stars Malek as a brilliant LASD detective and Denzel Washington as a burned-out Bakersfield deputy sheriff on the hunt for a serial killer. Also included are Natalie Morales and Jared Leto. “The Little Things” is being produced by Hancock and Mark Johnson, with Mike Drake serving as executive producer.
The date was secured by Warner Bros. with an untitled movie, and on Friday, the studio said that “The Little Things” will take its place. The animated monster-wrestling film “Rumble” from Paramount has also been scheduled for release on that day.
Malek joined “The Little Things” last year after taking home the best actor Oscar for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the commercial success “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Following that, Malek was cast as the antagonist in “No Time to Die,” the 25th James Bond film. On April 9, “No Time to Die” will debut.
Washington most recently appeared as Robert McCall, a retired intelligence officer, in “The Equalizer 2” in 2018. With more over $190 million in global box office, the sequel did well.
