DK Shivakumar Biography, Daughter, Son, Birthday Date, 2nd Daughter – DK Shivakumar, also known as Doddalahalli Kempegowda Shivakumar, has been a seven-time elected MLA since 1989. He has been chosen as minister on numerous occasions. He has previously held portfolios in the energy, housing, and urban development sectors. DK Shivakumar is a force in the congress party and is renowned for his vigour. He now holds an INC ticket to run from the Kanakapura constituency in the upcoming assembly election in 2023. He is a member of the Legislative Assembly from that district.
At the extremely early age of 30, he was appointed as a minister in the government of the late CM Shri Bangarappa.
He held the position of Minister of State for the Departments of Prisons and Home Guards.
In his capacity as the Chairman of the Cabinet Subcommittee, he was instrumental in developing and launching the Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Shakthi Sanghatan, participating in rallies, and encouraging young people to pursue careers in rural development and social work.
He was a key player in the design of the underpasses and flyovers in Karnataka, especially the K. R. Market flyover.
He oversaw the long-dormant Ministry of Energy in Karnataka from 2013 until 2018.
In Pavagada, Tumkur, DKS has also started construction on India’s largest solar power plant.
It is highly regarded that he played a role in several significant elections, including those in Bellary and Bihar, by using a winning approach.
Congress was very appreciative of his contribution to Ahmed Patel’s victory in the Gujarat Rajya Sabha elections by bringing the party together.
