Emma Vardy News
Emma Vardy, a business presenter, joined BBC Breakfast on Monday morning as a fresh face.
In order to provide hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay with the most recent information about the Royal Mail’s new barcoded stamps, Emma, the Ireland Correspondent for BBC News, made her appearance on the program.
Before she appeared on the show, Emma shared a selfie from the BBC Breakfast studio on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which Jon could be seen waving from the recognizable red sofa.
Good morning from Manchester, she said in the caption. To bring you some business news on @BBCBreakfast, Northern Ireland has granted an unusual release.
“@jonkay01 from this side of the boundary with the Irish Sea. I’ll be back shortly.
Jon quickly extended a warm welcome to the new presenter and wrote in response to the tweet, “Welcome to the #BBCBreakfast gang @EmmaVardyTV.”

Social media users responded to Emma’s debut by expressing their happiness to see the presenter on their televisions. One individual said in response to Emma’s post: “Great Emma, very good to have you from Ireland. I’m glad to see you on breakfast,” said one person, while another added: “Welcome.”
A third person remarked: “Always a delight to have a happy person on our screens,” and another remarked: “Good to see you, Emma. Are pregnant BBC breakfast business presenters now required? Keep @BBCBenThompson from knowing.
Emma was filling in for business presenter Nina Warhurst, who recently had her third child and is presently away on maternity leave.
After the birth was revealed on BBC Breakfast on July 3, Nina has been updating her followers on her pregnancy experience. She admitted last week that the birth was “tougher” than her previous two births and that the recovery process felt “longer”.
The 42-year-old shared a collection of pictures of Nina and her newborn daughter, Nance, writing: “4 snippets of me and my Nance from each of the 4 weeks we’ve watched her slowly waking up to this world.”
She continued by describing her third pregnancy as “hard”. “A harder birth and a lengthier recuperation… perhaps it’s getting older… but I’d also forgotten in some way,” she said.
The symptoms Nina has been having include “swollen scars, bleeding breasts, mastitis fever, hormonal crashes, clots, constipation, codeine withdrawal, and exhaustion,” to name a few.
She expressed hope that she was well on the road to recovery as she concluded her post. For the time being, she remarked, “We are on the right track. And taking things slowly, generally with Australian MAFs and Italian red wines. What a combination.
“Women and their bodies (parents or not) are complex and resilient, and it fills me with immense pride,” she concluded in a loving email to her kid. My dear sweetheart, I can’t wait to tell you everything.
Additionally, Nina and Ted are the devoted parents of two sons, Digby (born in 2016) and Michael (born in 2018).
