Grant Hughes and Sophia Bush have ended their relationship.
After 13 months of marriage, the One Tree Hill actress, 41, filed for divorce from her spouse on Friday, PEOPLE can exclusively disclose.
According to a source close to the couple, “Sophia and Grant were friends for ten years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service.” They remain close friends and continue to manage their nonprofit together.
Bush posted a picture on Instagram to mark their wedding anniversary seven weeks before to the announcement.
She captioned a vintage black and white picture of the two taken on their wedding day, “Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband,'” “Best choice I’ve ever made. It still feels exactly the same. Additionally, it comes almost two weeks after Bush was forced to leave her West End production of 2:22 A Ghost Story early due to an illness that was spreading across the company.
