Half Girlfriend Movie Download Fzmovies.net, Telegram Link, Netnaija – Half Girlfriend is an Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name. Mohit Suri directed the film, which stars Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in prominent roles. Vikrant Massey and Rhea Chakraborty also play important roles in the film. Despite earning mixed to negative reviews from critics, it earned relatively well at the box office. Principal photography began in June 2016, with locales such as Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Dumraon, Varanasi, New York City, and Cape Town being used. On May 19, 2017, the film was released in theatres worldwide.
Story of Half Girlfriend
Madhav is a good basketball player who struggles to communicate in English. He is admitted to St Stephen’s College Delhi on the basis of a sports quota, where he meets Riya Somani, an upper-class young girl admitted on the basis of a sports quota. They become good friends and spend every evening playing basketball. When Madhav informs his flatmate Shailesh and his friends about Riya, they press him to ask her out on a date, but she declines and asks him to be his friend instead. Madhav’s pals continue to encourage him to pursue Riya in the hopes that one day she will date him.
Sapna, realizing the significance of Lala’s commitment, chooses to postpone his goal until it is completed. But her father, Harishankar, is continually nagging her to marry. Lala eventually collects 18 lakh (US$23,000) for Gayatri’s dowry. Gayatri marries a man. Following the wedding, it is revealed that Lala is not their biological brother and that their mother adopted him many years ago after his biological mother died near the temple. Lala sells his one kidney to raise funds for Durga and Laxmi’s wedding, but things don’t go as planned when Gayatri commits herself by taking poison. Her husband and in-laws demanded additional dowry. She didn’t say anything to Lala since she didn’t want him to be stressed out further.
Madhav asks Riya if she wants to relax in his room in a boys-only dorm one afternoon after a game, when (goaded by his peers and humiliated by Riya’s indecision) Madhav tries to force himself upon Riya. Riya, upset and hurt, informs Madhav a few days later that she is leaving college and marrying. Madhav tries to stop her, but she runs away.
Madhav returns to his village after finishing college, where his mother operates a school for males only because there are no ladies’ bathrooms. Madhav learns that Bill Gates is visiting Patna and will be financing school grants. Madhav decides to seek a grant and visits the Chanakya Hotel in Patna.
After the meeting, Madhav meets Riya, who is living in the hotel and works for Closeup. They hang out for some time, and Madhav learns that Riya has divorced because her husband and his mother tried to beat her. Riya assists Madhav in preparing for his speech in English for Bill Gates. One day, he takes her to his house, where Madhav’s mother asks her about her marriage. She acts rudely after discovering that she is a divorcee. A few days before the speech, when Riya has to go back to Patna, Madhav’s mother asks her to stay away from Madhav.
She, however, attends Madhav’s speech, where he is successful in getting a grant from the Bill Gates Foundation. After the speech, a tiny girl from the school offers Madhav a letter from Riya. The letter says that Riya has been diagnosed with blood cancer and will die in three months. She requests him not to search for her as she herself does not know where she will go. Madhav is seen going to Riya’s house to deliver her belongings to her mother, who starts crying upon learning about Riya’s disease. Madhav recalls that she wanted to become a singer at a bar in New York. Unprepared, Madhav goes to New York to visit his friend Shailesh.
