Jade Bender News
The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor admitted that he was “going through a breakup” during the tech conference Dreamforce in San Francisco, just two months after making his romance with Jade Bender public.
On September 22, when he was questioned about an Instagram post from earlier this month where he spoke about his mental health journey, he responded, “I experienced moments where I’m living my dream and it didn’t quite feel like I was where I needed to be with myself.” “I’m going through a breakup right now. That’s definitely also a factor, but it’s ok; I’ll be alright.
On July 20, 2022, Simu and Jade made their red-carpet relationship debut at the ESPY Awards. Together, the two people saw Bullet Train’s Los Angeles premiere on August 1. Simu’s representatives were contacted by E! News, but no response was received.
In a sincere reflection on the first anniversary of Shang-Chi’s release earlier this month, Simu shared how his life had changed as a result of the sudden celebrity, both favourably and unfavourably.
He stated in the Sept. 3 Instagram post that “exactly one year ago, this little movie came out and completely changed my life.” It’s been nothing short of the best trip of my life, but after some thought, I realise that this life also has a heavy price.
I was abruptly thrust into a stratosphere I had no right being in, and I was poorly equipped to deal with the psychological effects of a life lived in public, Simu continued. I felt like I was flying through the learning curve, crushing all of my interviews and talk show appearances, but I wasn’t making the time to check in with myself or prioritise my mental health.
Simu revealed that after the premiere of the Marvel movie, he’d filmed four films, was working on a fifth, and had written and published a memoir. He claimed that all of these endeavours were the consequence of his fixation with “taking up space and representing for my community.”
The Kim’s Convenience star said, “I worked nearly myself to exhaustion.” While I am incredibly proud of my accomplishments and work ethic, I am aware that something needs to change going forward.
“So today, on the anniversary of Shang-Chi’s release, I’m especially excited because I’m in therapy and prioritising my health,” he said in conclusion. I’m recovering and progressing well towards my goal of becoming a good and decent man rather than just a superhero.
