Joel Michael News
The Florida guy who was caught on camera headbutting another man and then being wrestled to the ground at a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale before police arrived is identified as Joel Michael Singer.
Singer and two men argue in the opening of the video. Singer is accused of striking another man by one of the other males. Singer walks away from the men before turning around and kicking one of them in the head. A witness then drags Singer to the ground and tells him, “You’re f***ing done.” The victim of the headbutt then threatens Singer. Singer makes an effort to free himself and strike up a conversation with the person holding him down. When the cops show up and lead Singer away, the tape comes to an end.
Singer, 31, was tackled in a video that was filmed in July 2019 and was initially released in August, according to a Reddit post claiming to be from the man who did it. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the YOLO restaurant, the footage was captured.
By filing numerous copyright complaints against Vimeo and Google, singer has revealed that he is the man in the video. The film has repeatedly been taken down from websites that broadcast videos as a result of their successful copyright assertions. Singer refers to the video in more than one of those statements as “Video of me being attacked.” Singer filed his initial copyright claim in regard to the video in September 2019.
Singer claimed in April 2020 that the uploader of the film was “enticing threat and violence” against him in his most recent copyright claim. Despite the video being removed, Singer complained about the remarks on a Reddit thread that is still accessible.
There are no cases in either the criminal or civil courts of Broward County, Florida, regarding Singer and the incident. Steven Heflin, the person who tackled Singer, told Heavy that since the event, he has had “zero interaction” with Singer.
