Linda Bennett had lofty goals when she established her Wimbledon shoe store 14 years ago on a shoestring $13,000 budget: to encourage British ladies to switch in their practical office flats for glam satin kitten heels and floral mules.
Her goals were accomplished, and the LK Bennett location is now part of a global network with an estimated £32 million in yearly sales, giving the 39-year-old an estimated fortune of £1.8 million.
