Lynda Reeves News
It is with great pleasure that House & Home Media announces an intriguing new direction for the lifestyle brand: a shift from traditional television to internet programming. The 10th season of House & Home Television went on demand in January.
Throughout its twelve-year run on CTV, Global, and HGTV, H&H TV has attracted a sizable viewing audience. When Lynda Reeves’ brand-new daily show on CTV debuted in 1998, interior design and leisure programming were big news. The CTV studios hosted the first programme of its sort to air in Canada, and it immediately gained a devoted audience. Since then, a lot has changed. Nowadays, reality-based decorating and lifestyle programming dominate conventional and cable networks.
The decision to transfer H&H TV online was partly a response to the show’s viewers’ admiration of its premium magazine format. The choice to self-produce was driven by this as well as a desire to maintain the programme consistent with Canada’s leading home design publication.
A cast of H&H editors, designers, chefs, and Lynda herself was cast in the show, which immediately attracted sponsors. Programs are filmed both on-site and inside the House & Home Media studios in Toronto. Weekly original material updates are made, and viewers can sign up for a personalised e-newsletter to get show updates.
The tenth season of H&H Online TV is now being produced, and Lynda Reeves and H&H Editor Suzanne Dimma will host 50 new programmes. On the series, H&H magazine experts host house tours, decorating classes, cooking demonstrations, do-it-yourself projects, and shopping outings.
Producing high-quality content makes us very happy, says producer Sheri Graham Delagran. With engaging portions, we hope to encourage and motivate our audience.
Lynda Reeves acknowledges that she was first hesitant to move to an online format. “I was worried about our capacity to produce a show that was on par with or better than anything else on television in our genre. I’m guilty of showing our web show to everybody who will allow me since I’m so proud of it right now. The production quality is outstanding “she claims.
