Story of Meter Movie
Despite having little interest in the police force, Arjun Kalyan (Kiran Abbavaram), the son of Raghunath, a constable, ends up becoming a sub inspector. After taking over, a series of circumstances develop that put him in direct conflict with the corrupt and crooked home minister Byre Reddy (Dhanush Pawan). Review of Meter Movie
While there is no denying that actor Kiran Abbavaram can act, fight, and dance, his skills might not be sufficient to save this poorly written police action drama in his latest release, Metre. The story, screenplay, and direction of the movie were all handled by Ramesh Kaduri, who failed to make it compelling and impressive.
The narrative and script, for the most part, screamed routine with tired cliches. While certain conversations land, most of them feel over the top and illogical, touching on cringe. To top it off, the film has enough of double-meaning banter. Despite the film’s respectable production values, score, and cinematography, the editing felt choppy and had problems with continuity. Role characterization was repetitive and bland.
Actress Athulyaa Ravi, who is made her Telugu debut, has nothing to do with the plot besides serving as Arjun’s love interest. However, she accomplished an adequate job within her personality’s limitations. Dhanush Pawan, who portrayed the antagonist’s role in the film, did a commendable job with his whole demeanour and speech. A saving grace was the occasional humour produced by Sapthagiri in the role of Arjun’s uncle and Posani Krishna Murali in the role of Police Commissioner.
