After quitting high school when she was 18, she relocated to Toronto and made the decision to pursue acting. In the horror series The Strain created by Guillermo del Toro, she received her first recurring role. She appeared in the Don McKellar drama Through ‘Black’ Spruce in 2018, which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Between 2018 to 2022, Kaur played Saanvi in 44 episodes of the television series Manifest. Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, and Melissa Roxburgh are the main characters in Jeff Rake’s television series.

Reza Dahya, the spouse of Parveen Kaur, co-hosts and produces OTA Live on Toronto’s FLOW 93.5FM. Their relationship dates back at least ten years.
With hosts Dahya and Ty Harper, OTA Live was the go-to place for captivating weekly interviews with Toronto’s underrepresented hip-hop community.
The relationship with the community, in Dahya’s words, “is the heart (of the radio station), and we worked hard to keep that relationship strong.” Those who are familiar with him from his radio work will be aware of his lifelong passion for films and narrative. Reza Dahya states in his bio that “Film felt like the most natural progression for me.”
Albina Nahar, Khalid Karim, and Jen Pogue starred in his 2011 short film ESHA, which marked his entry into the film industry. The Mark, his subsequent short film, was released the following year.
Five Dollars, a short drama that was crowdfunded, had its world premiere at the TIFF Kids International Film Festival in 2023. It was broadcast on CBC’s Canadian Reflections and screened abroad. Together with producer Josh Ary and writer Chris Cromie, he finished the short film Chameleon for the 2015 CFC.
Samanthology (2019), Theodore (2020), and Tuesdays and Thursdays (2018) are just a few of Reza’s major filmmaking achievements.
10 years of togetherness
According to their Instagram post, Parveen and Reza have been together for at least ten years. They enjoy taking trips together and posting their stunning photos on Instagram.
The first Instagram post from the filmmaker was published on March 24, 2013. A cup with his name inscribed on it and a lipstick stain are both visible in the post.
The caption said, “Sweets from my sweet,” and he tagged Kaur in the picture. The two have a long-standing relationship because it is made plain in the post that they have known each other for more than ten years.
When Kaur and Dahya visited San Francisco in 2016, they had a great time. The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Balmy Alley, and many more stunning locations in the city were all visited by the group.
Along with their adorable puppy Brixton, they also delighted in their evening at the beach.
The director posted a picture of his wife with the gorgeous Golden Gate Bridge in the background, writing, “@missparveen prettier than the view!”
Along with directing, editing, and making movies, Reza is also very passionate about taking pictures. His Instagram pictures undoubtedly showcase his amazing abilities in this field of art.
He spent all of his free time studying portraits during the quarantine period.
