Peter Freestone Wikipedia, Wiki, Book, Net Worth, Interview – Peter Freestone was born on January 8, 1955, in Surrey, England. After six years in the south of London, he began attending Lushington Hall, a boarding school in southern India. He went back to the UK after five years.

After completing his education, he began working at London’s Selfridges department store. He served as the inspiration for the creation of the Catering Management Training Scheme, and at 19 years old, he was appointed assistant manager.

When Peter began working part-time at the Royal Opera House in London in 1975, he was propelled in a different direction. He started working at the Royal Ballet as a full-time employee in 1977, where he first encountered Freddie Mercury in 1979.

Peter started working with Queen in November 1979, and Freddie hired him as his personal assistant in 1980. They hit it off right away.

Peter stayed with Freddie Mercury until Freddie’s passing in 1991, touring the world with him not just in his capacity as an employee but also as his closest friend and confidant.

Since then, Peter has held a variety of positions, including administrator for a medium-sized opera company, small hotel owner, Guy’s Hospital employee, and more.

Freddie Mercury is the subject of two books that he has co-authored. Since 2007, he has been a member of the organisation montreuxmusic, which upholds Freddie Mercury’s legacy and deep ties to his last home in Montreaux.

Peter joined as a production consultant in 2007, when he and Queen: It’s a Kind of Magic tribute show promoter John Van Grinsven had a fortuitous encounter in Singapore. Peter helped John Van Grinsven perfect the theatrical replication of his old best friend, from picking the proper accent to nailing down his distinctive mannerisms.

In the here and now, Peter lives in the Czech Republic. He also serves as the official correspondent for the monthly English journal OPERA in addition to his work with Queen: It’s a Kind of Magic.

In addition to training budding vocalists in the Czech Republic and assisting them with their English in performance, he spends several months of the year traveling to various events promoting AIDS causes and makes appearances at numerous worldwide Queen fan conventions all year long.
