The Lincoln Project has been successful in agitating the president while giving the Biden campaign cover with its scathing social media posts and in-depth commercials that target his mind. The Lincoln Project, founded by prominent “Never Trumpers” including George Conway, Steve Schmidt, and Rick Wilson, appears to delight criticising the president in its barrage of posts, tweets, and vicious advertisements. Verdi believes the SuperPac cum ad agency is the kind of ad agency that is likely to dominate the business moving ahead. He cites The Lincoln Project’s stinging creative, quick-strike advertising buys, clarity of mission, and mastery of many communications platforms.
Verdi adds in the podcast that “The Lincoln Project is perhaps showing the advertising world that maybe we’re going about it the wrong way right now.” They might be the ideal example of the ad agencies of the future.
Verdi’s high praise has weight because his esteemed agency has been one of the most praised creative companies for the previous three decades, winning almost every creative award in the business. DeVito/Verdi has also used its skills in the political sphere, acting as the principal campaign organisation for a number of gubernatorial, mayoral, and 527 races, most notably Hillary Clinton’s victorious Senate bid.
Galen lauds his team for being able to “pierce (Trump’s) bubble of unreality” by attacking him at the interview’s awkward and exposed moments.
