Roberta Williams News
Roberta Williams, 53, admitted to blackmailing and carelessly hurting her victim in Collingwood more than three years ago and made her first appearance in the County Court of Victoria on Friday. She was sentenced to a two-year community-based order after entering her plea.
In a film production facility, Ryan Naumenko was enticed, and over the course of nearly three hours, he was chained to a chair and beaten. Williams, whose criminal husband Carl Williams was killed more than ten years prior, allegedly said “kill the c***, he has no money” during the beating, according to testimony given in court.
According to court records, Williams later remarked to Mr. Naumenko that she was fortunate not to have killed his mother and children. Jake Sexton, who was charged with her complicity in the intentional infliction of harm, received a two-year community-based order and must do 150 hours of unpaid labour in addition to drug treatment programmes.
Hassam Al Zwainy, a different co-accused who the court heard was present out of “blind loyalty,” received a one-year community-based order, a $800 fine, and a requirement to carry out 60 hours of unpaid labour. He didn’t take part in the attack.
