Path to Treasure Hunting
Cooper and his father became friends, and as a result, they were hired by NASA for the Apollo Program. The booster rockets used for flights were recovered by Darrell and his father by combing the ocean. Throughout the subsequent 20 years, he worked with NASA and excavated shipwrecks close to Florida’s shore. Cooper and he became good friends, and they collaborated for a long time.
After earning his diving certification, he received an invitation to join the American Academy of Underwater Sciences. In 2014, he finally launched Gemini Marine Exploration, his own business. Cooper’s Treasure
Gordon Cooper was tasked with locating nuclear sites on a 122-hour trip across the globe in 1963. More than 100 anomalies, which appeared as black patches and were allegedly sunken ships, were found across the South Caribbean region, which he photographed at several spots. He worked covertly on many of these ships during his lifetime with the Miklos family, unearthing treasure that is said to be worth billions of dollars. He then delivered his studies and papers to Darrell before he passed away.
In order to portray Cooper’s missions, the filmmakers combine historical footage with dramatic recreations of the Air Force colonel taking pictures of the Caribbean while wearing a spacesuit and being strapped into an orbiting spacecraft, as if this were the most natural thing for a NASA astronaut to do. Cooper noticed several dark areas and assumed they were shipwrecks, so he snapped more than 100 pictures of the region. When Cooper got back to earth, he sought to locate the buried ships—most of which are Spanish and date to the 16th century—but he was constrained by the tools available to people in his day.
