According to the official Emirates News Agency (WAM), Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s brother, has been named the vice president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE Federal Supreme Council gave its approval to the nomination. According to the WAM report, the current Vice President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will continue in that position.
Sheikh Mansour has held positions as the Minister of the Presidential Court and the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister. He has held a variety of significant positions since 2004, including Minister of Presidential Affairs, Head of the Ministerial Development Council, and member of the Abu Dhabi Supreme Petroleum Council. He has a wealth of expertise working for the public good.
