At the age of 66, Sherrie Swafford Page passed away on November 25, 2022. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky, on January 6, 1956. She was a Florida resident who painted in the modern expressionist style. After retiring, she started painting full-time about seven years ago, and after experimenting with various techniques, she discovered her love for vibrant abstract art. Many of the experiences of life are depicted in her work in abstract form, and she hopes that her work will inspire ideas and feelings about those experiences.

She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Swafford, as well as her parents, James and Betty Swafford, according to her obituary. Her spouse Steve Page, daughter Ashley Page, and grandchildren Jaxon and Chloe survive her.

She received several honors for her work, including Honourable Mention in the Abstract category at Art Show International in May 2021, Honourable Mention in the Landscape category at Art Show International in October 2021, Third in the abstract category in May 2022, and Finalist in the “Water2” competition in October 2022. In 2020 and 2021, the Luxembourg Gallery also honored her.
Swafford is a member of the Gulf Coast Watercolour Society, the Naples Art Association, and the National Association of Women Artists. Her work has been shown in galleries and at art fairs across the country. She is also one of CloudFolios’ highlighted artists.
