She then continued on to the Rivers State College of Art and Science, Rumuola, Port Harcourt, where she graduated in 2002 with a diploma in law.

Okotete attended Benson Idahosa University in Benin City to complete her studies. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Diplomacy in 2006 and a Certificate for Emerging Leaders from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Boston, USA, in 2012.

The National Open University of Nigeria awarded Okotete a master’s degree in peace studies and conflict resolution, and she is currently working toward a master’s in public administration.

Her additional credentials include a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management (Enterprise Development Center) from Pan Africa University in 2017, a Certificate in Risk Management in Banking from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France in 2019, a Certificate in New Models of Business in Society from the University of Virginia in the United States in 2020, and a Certificate in AML/CFT, Compliance and Corporate Governance from the CBN International Training Institute in 2021.
