Tony Balkissoon welcomes a new born baby
The name of the new baby is a combination of the middle names of two women in the couple’s family: Tahay for her middle name and Laura for her first name. James, the couple’s 3-year-old son, is also their child.
“We’re so happy June is here at last!” Jarrett informs the PEOPLE. She fits in with the family right away because she has a large voice and a huge appetite. James, her older brother, has also greeted her and helped prepare her bottles while singing to her loudly.
On July 18, the TV personality posted a picture of the newborn along with the joyful news of the birth of her daughter. “Hello, June! 6 lbs. 9 oz., born on July 17. Fan of formula, hugs, and head coverings. James, her big brother, is eager to meet her. In April, Jarrett made the news that she was expecting.
James has some news about his siblings. In July, a baby girl will be arriving! Dreaming of Advil, Retin-A, tying my own trainers and ice-cold Sauvignon Blanc in the interim.
In 2016, Jarrett moved from her Chicago law firm to CNN, where she concentrated “on defending companies and individuals in government investigations brought by the Justice Department and Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as complex commercial litigation.”
Also a 2010 Harvard Law School alumna, Jarrett “published her own articles on the intersection of gender, violence, and the law” and served as co-chair of the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender’s works Selection Committee.
