The thriller Virupaksha was written by filmmaker Sukumar and directed by Karthik Dandu. The main lead actors in the film are Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon, with Sunil, Sai Chand, and numerous others playing supporting parts.
B. Ajaneesh Loknath created the soundtrack, Shamdat Sainudeen handled the cinematography, and Navin Nooli handled the editing.
The tense thriller is set in the little village of Rudravanam and starts in the 1990s. Unexpected fatalities occur in a village as a result of a mysterious person’s magical operations. As they search for the offender, problems arise and the village is in a state of panic.

Even if there are some sequences in the film that should have been tighter, the filmmaker does an excellent job in general.
The 1990s are currently in style. However, some people continue to make moral judgments based on out-of-date texts, which can breed superstition with lethal consequences. Surya (Sai Dharam Tej) is going back to his mother’s hometown of Rudravanam, which is getting ready for a Modamamba Thalli jatara.
The rest of the neighbourhood, including Harischandra Prasad and the sarpanch (Rajeev Kanakala), are hard at work getting ready for it. The daughter of the sarpanch, Nandini (Samyuktha), attracts Surya strongly. Even though these two, along with another couple in the town, appear to be in a romantic relationship, the past seems to be calling. Surya looks for the issue’s root.
Virupaksha gets off to a good start. We are shown how, in the 1970s, people made some awful judgements out of superstition and fear. However, in the 1990s everything appeared to be secure. Surya spends time with his mother, his cousin Syamala, and other locals. A break from death to concentrate on the romance during the first half of the movie makes it less racy. The dialogues give it a more emotional tone than it actually has. It makes you impatient, but the wait is worthwhile.
The movie changes in the second half. Additionally, some of the scenes might seem draggy even though the movie excels when it concentrates on the main plot. But if you pay close attention, you’ll notice that the movie kept dropping hints for you to put the pieces together. Would a better climax have been possible? Sure. But without ramming you with explanations, everything just seems to make sense.
